We loved the house and had a wonderful stay. It was warm, welcoming and so comfortable. It was so lovely to be welcomed with a bottle of quality pink fizz as we walked in to the kitchen. Thank you!
The house was incredibly clean and very well equipped and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable with fresh linen and soft cosy towels. It’s situated in a great location and a short walk into town and to the shops. It was also really convenient being close to the Spar shop where we stocked up on wine and food. We loved it and had the best time. Thank you!

It was our first stay in Salcombe for our New Year family celebrations. We know the area well, having spent many holidays in the South Hams area. East Winds is a very deceptive property, almost tardis like, as the external view hides the fantastically large accommodation within. We had a family of 6 adults, plus a 3 year old stay at the property and the facilities were perfect for us. A very large, extensively fitted out, kitchen and dining area with adjacent living space and tv, creates an ideal environment for family dining and socialising. There is a separate living room, where our older children could watch their tv/listen to their own music. The two downstairs bedrooms are well fitted out and the downstairs shower is ideal for large family gatherings. Upstairs there is a fantastic master bedroom and ensuite bathroom, a further bunk room, suited to adults and a master bathroom alongside.
The property is tastefully fitted throughout with quality bed linen and towels. Whilst we didn't use the garden it is well fitted out with great views over the neighbouring farmland. The location of the property is ideal for Salcombe town centre, which is only 10 minutes walk away down the hill. The walk back certainly builds an appetite for dinner!
All I can add is that whilst we were there we rebooked for next year. 5 out of 5 stars from us.

Our family of 4, 2 friends and our dog had a wonderful stay at East Winds, arriving to a fabulous bottle of fizz! The house was immaculate with superb facilities, a great location and the garden was a joy to relax in. Lisa and Steve are fantastic hosts and were always available to help if needed. We highly recommend East Winds and would definitely return!

We stayed at East Winds in May half term as 2 families (8 people in total plus a dog!) and it couldn't have been more perfect. The photos do not do it justice in terms of size and we were blown away.

East Winds Salcombe is an absolutely wonderful place to stay whilst visiting Salcombe. Lisa and Steve’s communication was outstanding. The holiday home has so much space, a great deal of storage and it has a wonderful decor. As a family of four with two large estrela mountain dogs we had amble room which is not always the case!!! We loved the open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge area. You can walk into the village so easily and it is lovely seeing the beautiful views from your bedroom window! The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs to explore too and in the summer months we would have used the outdoor seating area more. We had an amazing experience trick or treating on Halloween the community were lovely! We would highly recommend from an adult, child and dog perspective and would book again.

We’ve just returned from our third year staying at EastWinds in Salcombe and absolutely cannot fault the property. It is a true home from home (only bigger and tidier), we love it and the dog loves it.
The pre-booking communication is excellent and the little extra touches – the bottle of fizz on arrival and the addition of a nespresso machine – just add to the luxury feel of the house.
I can’t recommend EastWinds enough. Thank you Lisa and Steve – fabulous hosts.

Just wanted to write and say how much we loved staying at East Winds last week. My dad organised it all - we simply turned up and enjoyed the week! Your house was perfect for us. We ate outside, the kids chilled and read books in the hammock (!!!!) I had a bath looking up at the stars.. it was a total relax for us all. The effort you've taken to provide those extra bits (washing tabs, washing up liquid) were really appreciated. We will be back!

"This is my second holiday at East Winds - me and my family came last year and we enjoyed it so much we booked again for this year for 2 weeks this time. I have to say it was even better this year. Lisa and Steve are fantastic hosts and the house is so lovely, clean, homely and well equipped with everything you need and in my opinion in the perfect location. It's lovely and quiet - about a 10 minute walk to town to all of the Restaurants, shops and ferries to various beaches and Kingsbridge etc. The Management Team Ally and Graham came in half way through our holiday and changed bedding, towels etc. It is clear that East Winds Salcombe take great pride in offering us (the holidaymaker) the best experience and that's exactly what they do. Our whole family goes away once a year and our time at East Winds was wonderful. A very spacious home with great outdoor space that the family and dog loved. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and a great place to relax after a full day at the many beaches and pubs Salcombe has to offer. Easy communication with the owners who clearly care about their holiday let. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely week in Salcombe and good weather and enjoyed our stay at your holiday home. We stay in Salcombe frequently and this was our first stay in East Winds. It is a great holiday home located above and within east access to the centre of the town and a local Spar shop. We found the property spacious , extremely well equipped with everything we needed and great for a family stay with dogs. The house is presented well, light upstairs with excellent views and an enjoyable garden to sit in. We would be happy to give East Winds a 5-star rating and recommend it for a family holiday.

We’ve just returned from a week away at East Winds, being a family with older teenagers and a toddler. The house was beautiful, exceptionally clean and spacious with everything you could possible need. We all slept well on the comfortable beds and fluffy pillows, toddler LOVED the free-standing bath and their first time in a bunk bed! We enjoyed the sunshine in the garden with our morning brews, plenty of seating and our Easter egg hunt was fun with the different levels, lots of hiding places! The dining kitchen was perfect for family meals and playing games on an evening, the cooking facilities & equipment were great too, very good, fast oven making meals easy and quick to get out, teenagers enjoyed the coffee machine too!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, from the very start with the warm welcome of complimentary goodies on arrival and lots of useful information in the welcome folder. East Winds is very well situated within walking distance to Salcombe, local park and shop. Parking was not an issue; we always managed to get a spot even over the busy long bank holiday weekend. This really is a home from home, Lisa & Steve have thought of everything and are a pleasure to deal with.
